Application of Industrial Robots in Tubesheet Cladding and Tube to Tubesheet Welding

Abstract

This paper deals with the implementation of industrial robots in two areas of fabrication of nuclear power generation components at The Babcock & Wilcox Company facility in Barberton, Ohio. The applications described are robotic cladding of tubesheets, and tube-to-tubesheet Welding in nuclear steam generators.
