Pickering NGS Equipment Condition After Twelve Years of Operation

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to transmit the results of an extensive inspection program carried out at Pickering NGS (PNGS) during the reactor retubing outage of Units 1 and 2. Inspections performed on the systems and components are described, where equipment degradation was discovered, possible causes and corrective action(s) taken are discussed, recommendations (if any) for future are specified. The results of this program could help those with similar plant in formulating inspection and maintenance programs for long-term, safe and reliable operation.
