Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper discusses a simplified version of the recommissioning process used to return Units 1 and 2 at Pickering NGS to service following approximately four years of outage to retube the reactors. The results of the application of this process are given in the form of significant events in the commissioning program from which lessons for future outages may be drawn. In the course of the paper, special attention is paid to the importance of Design group involvement and regulatory authority participation in the process. The necessity for a comprehensive and realistic testing program is also demonstrated.
