Major Turbine Generator Shaft Realignment

Abstract

This paper has been divided into two sections, both regarding alignment of Picketing NGS turbine generators. The first section details the movement of entire turbines to correct shaft misalignment on unit 1 which had been caused by foundation settlement. The second section covers a new alignment method using a laser system which was employed on unit 3.
