Abstract

An analytical model is developed to describe the transport of the radioactive fission products following their release into a gas stream. The model considers both deposition along conduit surfaces and desorption from the walls into the carrier gas. An expression is derived to calculate the rate of release from the activity measured at a downstream location, for both an open circuit and a recirculating loop.
