An Exploration of Interactive Teaching Tools for the Use of Nuclear and Astrophysics Education

Abstract

Interactive teaching tools have been designed and built to provide a new means for teaching a general audience about nuclear physics. The tools connect the chart of the nuclides to the energy released from nucleosynthesis in stars, and focus on the proton-proton chain and Carbon-Nitrogen-Oxygen (CNO) cycle stellar fusion reactions.
