Comparison of Calculated and Measured Fine-Structure Reaction Rate Data from CANFLEX-RU in ZED-2

Abstract

This paper describes an experiment performed in ZED-2 to provide data appropriate for validating lattice code predictions for qualification of CANFLEX-RU fuel in CANDU®. The experiment involved the measurement of fine-structure reaction rates in a CANFLEX-RU demountable bundle. Experimental results are compared to calculations using the lattice code WIMS-IST.
