Evaluation of Slow Shutdown System Flux Detectors in Point Lepreau Generating Station - II: Dynamic Compensation Error Analysis
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Platinum-clad Inconel In-Core Flux Detectors are used for Reactor Overpower Protection trips of PLGS Shut Down Systems 1 and 2 (SDS1 and SDS2). The dynamic responses of the detectors change with irradiation, with the SDS2 detectors having prompt signal components that decrease significantly. For each detector compensation error for its signal is estimated from the delayed fraction amplitudes. General implications of preliminary results for reactor safety are discussed.
