Improvement and Qualification of WIMS Utilities
Main Article Content
Abstract
WIMS Utilities is a collection of FORTRAN programs and Perl files which are used to post-process WIMS-IST results and generate cross-section tables for use in RFSP-IST. WIMS Utilities is used routinely in safety analysis and core tracking, and therefore must comply with CSA-N286.7-99. Recently the on-going qualification activities, including SQA documentation, verification test cases, and releasing the code for use, funded by AECL and COG (CANDU Owner's Group) have resulted in WIMS Utilities version 2.0, a qualified version for the reactor physics analysis. This paper will present the qualification gaps and development needs identified in previous versions, development and qualification activities performed, and qualification status achieved for WIMS Utilities 2.0.
