Abstract

High natural concentrations of uranium and radium have been found in well waters in the Lac du Bonnet area, Southeastern Manitoba. A filter system has been developed at the Whiteshell Nuclear Research


Establishment (WNRE) that removes> 90% uranium and > 70% radium and may be installed in-line with any household water supply. This system will be available soon through selected distributors.
