An Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling System for Nuclear Emergency Response
Main Article Content
Abstract
A computerized, atmospheric dispersion, modellingsystem has been implemented for use in the Provinceof Ontario Nuclear Emergency Plan. The system willbe used, with predicted meteorological conditionsand emissions source term as input, t o provide projectionsof off-site radiation dose for decisionmaking. The modelling system contains puff and plumemodels for dealing with releases of short and lorgduration, respectively, is based on physically soundmodels, and is programmed for use on commonly availablemicrocomput ers.
