Specialized Tooling for Inspection of Calandria Relief Ducts

Abstract

This presentation presents the innovation of tooling related to the full volumetric inspection of the Calandria Relief Ducts (CRDs) at Bruce B Unit 7. The CRDs have been degraded from transgranular chloride induced stress corrosion cracking (TGSCC). During the 2016 Unit 7 outage, there was specialized, first-of-a-kind tooling developed in order to inspect and clean the Unit 7 Calandria Relief Ducts. The presentation discusses the process and supporting tooling used to complete this first of a kind inspection.
