Abstract

In order to accommodate a large manpower force and complex remote tooling, a training and mock-up building was provided to support large scale fuel channel replacement at Pickering. This paper reviews the history of mock-ups and the evolution of the design requirements for the building. It then details the problems encountered in the design and construction of the facility and finally examines the implementation of tool proving and training programs.
