Radioactive Atmospheric Emissions of a large Coal Fired and a CANDU Nuclear Generating Station of Comparable Size
Main Article Content
Abstract
Radioactive atmospheric emissions of a large coal- fired generating station and of a CANDU nuclear genera- ting station of comparable sire were determined and the annual mean concentrations of the emitted nuclides in ambient air were estimated by the application of dilution factors generally wed to derive release limits for the release of gaseous effluents from nuclear generating stations. These estimates were compared with the results obtained by the application of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency climatological dispersion model.
