Studies on Environment Safety and Application of Advanced Reactor for Inland Nuclear Power Plants

Abstract

To study on environment safety of inland nuclear power plants (NPPs), the impact of environment safety under the normal operation has been researched and the environmental risks of serious accidents have been analyzed. Moreover, the requirements of site selection between international inland NPPs and China’s have been comparatively studied. The conclusion is that the environment safety assessment of inland and coastal NPPs has no essential difference, and China is safe and feasible to develop inland NPPs. Advanced reactors can fulfill with safety standards of inland NPPs of China. With development of inland NPPs, there will be a big market for advanced reactors in China.
