Abstract

Erosion experiments of stainless steel were performedunder water-rapour two-phase flow conditions for outletpipes of ATR Demonstration Reactor of Japan. Theexperiments were performed by using Component Test Loopand erosion losses were estimated by weight differences ofspecimens between before and after tests. An erosion modelfor two-phase flow was proposed here and it interpreted thepresent data well. Also, oxide films on specimen surfaceswere analysed by using SEM, AES and X-ray to determinedepth protile, chemical formulae and porosity of the films.
