Abstract

This paper presents the experimental results of the heat transfer characteristics of water in vertical annulus. The experiments were carried out in the high pressure steam-water test loop in Xi’an Jiaotong University. Experiments were performed within the range of pressure from 23 to 28MPa, mass velocity from 700 to 2500 kg/(m2.s), and heat flux from 200 to 1000kW/m2. Based on the experimental results, the effects of mass flux, heat flux and pressure on heat transfer of supercritical pressure water in vertical annular channel were analyzed. The characteristics and mechanisms of heat transfer enhancement, and that of heat transfer deterioration, were also discussed.
