Derivation of Component Failure Data and Trend Analysis at Point Lepreau Generating Station

Abstract

Component failure data collection techniques have been in place at Point Lepreau Generating Station (PLGS) since first operation in 1982. Recently, statistical software packages Have been developed to manipulate the data to provide functional intonation on component performance. The statistical package which has been developed has been in use since the latter portion, of 1991. Failure data can be produced with one to two days following completion and review of the Fourth Quarter component fault assessments.
