Abstract

We present a method to simulate transient phenomenons in PWR. The chosen method is based on the works of Ott and Meneley. We split the flux into the product of two functions. The first one, only time depending, takes into account the fast change of flux. The second one, time and space depending, varies slowly with time. We present the improvements brought to the method and the choices we made. Numerical results are presented and compared with experimental results. Conclusions are given.
