Use of Specular Boundary Conditions for CANDU Cell Analysis
Main Article Content
Abstract
The lattice code DRAGON can be used to perform transport calculations inside CANDU cells using both a standard and a cyclic tracking procedure to evaluate the required collision probabilities. Whereas the standard tracking procedure only permits solution of the transport equation using isotropic reflection bound- ary condition in a medium with isotropic scattering these two conditions can be relaxed when the cyclic tracking procedure is considered. In this paper we propose to investigate the effects on a completely reflected CANDU cell of using specular boundary conditions.
