QA Involvement in a Large Station Project - Bruce NGS-B Experience

Abstract

To mitigate fretting of tubes in Bruce NGS B boilers the external contractor designed a complex repair process. This paper describes involvement of the Station QA Section during the design and realization phases of the project and summarizes experience gained. Both experience and conclusions drawn can be applied to any large scale project in a nuclear power plant.
