Testing of the Emergency Carbon Filters Used for Containment Venting Following a Loss-of-Coolant Accident
Main Article Content
Abstract
New carbon ventilation filter testing techniques have recently been developed by Ontario Hydro and are being applied to the Emergency filters used for containment venting following a postulated loss-of-cooling accident. The new techniques are performed in situ and are designed to ensure that the carbon present in the filters is at all times of a quality and condition sufficient to provide adequate protection to the public in the event it should ever be required.
