Tests Of The Neutron Radiographic X Parameter

Abstract

Neutron radiographs from several nuclear reactor installations have been used to create a preliminary database of values of the h resolution parameter covering a range of screens, films, L/D ratios and techniques. An examination of this data suggests that for the range of experimental conditions employed, h provides a useful objective characterization of the performance of a neutron radiographic system with emphasis on factors affecting image resolution.
