Abstract

FLOW3D is a general thermalhydraulics code developed at Harwell for multi- dimensional flow simulation in arbitrary co-ordinate systems. The code has been used to simulate the pool and riser systems in two types of generic pool reactors similar in concept to SLOWPOKE and MAPLE-X. The features of the code are discussed, and some representative results from steady-state and transient simulations are presented for each type of reactor.
