An Empirical Correlation For D20 Two-Phase Critical Flow Prediction of the Henry-Fauske Model'',
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Henry-Fauske two-phase critical flow model has been solved numerically, using heavy water properties. The solutions cover the range of pressure from 30 to 1500 psia (0.21 to 10.34 MPa(a)) and quality from 0.001 to 1.0. The numerical solutions have been fitted by a single empirical correlation which expresses the critical flow as a function of stagnation pressure and enthalpy. The correlation is simple and easy to use, and requires minimal computation time. In general the accuracy of the correlation is fairly good. Typically, the error is less than 5 percent.
