Treatment of Liquid Effluents from a High Grade Uranium Mine

Abstract
At its uranium mine and mill at Cluff Lake in northwestern Saskatchewan, Amok Ltd. operates water treatment systems associated with its waste management facilities. Radium concentrations in the effluent from the Cluff Lake operations have been well below the regulatory limit established by the Saskatchewan government of .37 Bq/L. Information on the company's experience in operating these treatment systems is given in this paper.
