Abstract

A concept for a high-efficiency small nuclear reactor of 2 MWth is proposed for generating electricity. An integrated liquid-sodium/fuel cylindrical nodule is used as the basis to achieve high primary temperatures at low pressure while ensuring a high level of safety through the simplicity of the design. The reactor physics and primary thermal hydraulics are discussed.
