Abstract

Significant contributions to sustain high availability and worker productivity are believed to have been achieved at Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station through implementation of a Maintenance Management System which incorporates work planning and outage management techniques. These techniques are heavily dependent on on-line computerized control for information systems which cover work orders, temporary and permanent design changes, parts and material inventories, timekeeping and project management. Management commitment is embodied in the simple principal that all work management shall be directed through the planning process and that departments shall provide input and conform to the output.
